My one memory of the game itself is that someone (I thought it was Jim, but apparently it was Bob) took an elbow to the face in the first half and had to come out of the game. Detailed film analysis determined the elbow belonged to one D. Barry Milankow.
ReplyDeleteThe thing that stands out 50 years later is this was the second game of a doubleheader at the Palestra so we likely didn't get back to campus until 2:00 in the morning (I'm sure everyone made their Friday classes) and the following morning (Saturday) we were on a plane to Boston, pretty hectic start to the season.
